Song for Easter Meditation

I haven’t felt prepared for Easter this year.  More truthfully, I haven’t done much to prepare for Easter this year.

But yesterday in the car when I accidentally put my phone on shuffle a song came on that I hadn’t listen to in years.  As I listened to it, I realized that it was the perfect meditation for Easter weekend.

May we be the Easter People today and every day.

How Deep by Stephen Altrogge

You were broken that I might be healed
You were cast off that I might draw near
You were thirsty that I might come drink
Cried out in anguish that I might sing

How deep is Your love
How high and how wide is Your mercy
How deep is Your grace
Our hearts overflow with praise
To You

You knew darkness that I might know light
Wept great tears that mine might be dried
Stripped of glory that I might be clothed
Crushed by Your Father to call me Your own

videos that might just make you cry (consider this a warning)

Words.  I feel like I have written so many lately and yet few of them have made it to this blog!  I’ve been working on all sorts of things which meant my blog has been a tad neglected this week.

Anyway, in the past week I’ve seen two different videos on parenting that have brought tears to my eyes that I wanted to share.  Could I just be a super sappy mother?  Maybe.  Probably.  But maybe you’ll end up liking them as much as I did.

Thanks to my friends Pita and Stephanie for passing these along!

Flash Mob, Air Force style!

Last week the USAF band did a flash mob at the National Air and Space Museum in DC.  It would be been incredible to see live, but the video is still wonderful.  My one year old was mesmerized!
